Installation

Getting started takes just a few minutes:

• Install the App: Install Birthday Butler from the Atlassian Marketplace and grant the required permissions.
• Open Configuration: Navigate to the Birthday Butler configuration page from Jira to set up Slack integration and preferences.

• Connect Slack: Configure your Slack webhook and choose which channel should receive birthday notifications.
• Add Birthdays: Enter birthday dates for users directly in Jira. Birthday Butler securely stores and manages this data.
• Customize Messages: Adjust the notification message template to match your team’s tone — fun, professional, or somewhere in between.
• Automatic Notifications: On the big day, Birthday Butler automatically sends a birthday message to Slack.
